One of the oldest archaeological museums in Portugal, opened in 1885 to house finds from archaeologist Francisco Martins Sarmento's (1833-1899) excavations at Citânia de Briteiros and Castro de Sabroso. It's set in the 14th-century Gothic cloister of the former church of São Domingos and is Portugal's main reference on the Castro Culture.
